Hi! I'm Daniel.

I’m an MD-PhD student in the Medical Scientist Training Program at Northwestern University and part-time triathlete. Welcome to my corner of the internet, a place for sharing my curiosity, projects, and athletic endeavors.

After years of a positive energy balance lifestyle in front of the computer screen, I picked up running and movement. This developed into an interest in human physiology which manifested in teaching assistantships in biochemistry and physiology, a surgical research internship, work as a clinical research coordinator, and ultimatley training to become a physician-scientist. In my spare time, I am currently working on making medical school admissions more transparent via CycleTrack, an applicant toolkit and data aggregator.

Projects

CycleTrack

CycleTrack is a free and open-source system for tracking and visualizing medical school applications while crowdsourcing data to make the application process more transparent and less stressful.

Abvember

I have helped empower daily physical activity through the yearly Abvember challenge. Each day of November, participants perform either 10 minutes of plank, 100 push-ups, or 100 sit-ups.
